How Can I Format Color in Excel 2007 Comments?

I looked in HELP, but didn’t find much about EXCEL comments. In Excel 2003 I often used color to emphasize certain elements in the comments I’ve added to my worksheets.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
To change the color of a word in a 2003 comment I would initiate comment editing, then wipe my cursor over the characters (words) in order to select the elements I wanted to color differently. Then I would click on the “font color” button to make the change. Nothing remarkable about that.

However, in EXCEL 2007 that procedure doesn’t work. When I initiate comment editing, the color buttons on the ribbon are “grayed out” so I can’t make the change. Anyone have a suggestion?

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
Try editing the comment, then select the text then right click and select Format Comeent.
