What is the best formula or best way to make an adjustable / variable monthly sales forecast that takes into account a time delay for training before sales are recognized?
I am building a Monthly Sales Forecast that is based on a variable number of new sales people being hired and a variable number of months for training to be completed prior to the first full month of sales.
Example: Training period = 2 months; New Hires per month = 2, Sales per fully trained sales agent = $1000
The table should be able to adjust sales amounts based on any adjustment to the training period. Also, is it possible to use a partial training period such as 2.5 months and have a half month of sales reported in the correct cell?

Month # | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
# of New Sales People | 2 | 4 | 6 | 8 | 10 |
Total Estimated Sales | $0 | $0 | $2000 | $4000 | $6000 |
