Hi

I have a workbook that I want to protect certain cells but some of the cells that I want to use unprotected are merged and centred .

When I try to protect the cells it says it cant do it to merged cells.

Is there anyway round this?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Try this

For the cells which you don't want to protect (Merge and center), In format cell Protection the Locked and hidden option should be unchecked
ref the attachment
