How find single cell automatically and write something in it, into spreedsheet excel 2007 ?

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Welcome to the Board!

Your question isn't clear. What do you mean by "find"? Are you looking for something specific? If so, what?
Maybe a simple example would clarify exactly what you are trying to do.

Thank you for your time and help. I want send sample but send excel attachment is not good.

I want to do tables which automatically organize the draw date information into table. I made a manually sample with Draw Date 1/9/2013 (number organize in color red). Next, I sample copy and sample paste.

BALL NUMBER
Draw DateBall # 1Ball # 2Ball # 3Ball # 4Ball # 51234567891011121314151617181920212223242526272829303132333435363738394041424344454647484950515253545556575859
1/9/201322212738582122274258
1/9/201359161245511216455159
1/9/20131851272246
1/9/20133823175718
1/9/20131120132759
1/9/2013222351271

<colgroup><col style="width: 62pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 2998;" width="82"> <col style="width: 35pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 1718;" span="5" width="47"> <col style="width: 14pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 694;" span="60" width="19"> <tbody>

OK, I think I see what you are trying to do.
Let's make the following assumptions:
- Your Title row begins on row 2
- Your first data row begins on row 3
- The ball drawings appear in columns B-F
- Your numbered columns begin in column H

So, then in cell H3, which would be for Number 1 for your first row of data, enter this formula:
Code:
=IF(OR($B3=H$2,$C3=H$2,$D3=H$2,$E3=H$2,$F3=H$2),H$2,"")

Now copy, this rows for all rows and columns in your number range (across and down).
This should have the effect you desire.

Note that the absolute references (dollar signs) in the equation are very important, as they indicate when rows/columns should be locked when copying your formulas.

Thank you for your answer.

I have done exactly what you indicated but I have not been successful, that is not passed.
My excel is 2007. Please suggest me to do.

Joe's formula works for me. Did you check the assumptions that Joe listed at the top of Message #4 to make sure your table is set up the same way as we see when we copy/paste what you posted in Message #3?

I unable the copy this formula , because Excel write the following:

Data on the clipboard is not the same size andshape is the selected area.
Do you want to paste the data anyway?<o:p></o:p>

Therefore,excel does nothing.

Please recommend something for fix the problem,

Thank You.

Sounds like you are not copying correctly.

Try this. Enter the formula in one cell.
Then highlight that single cell and select Copy.
Then highlight all the cells you want to copy it to and click Paste (don't worry that the cell you are copying the formula from is also in your Paste range).

The formula you recommended me is great, thank very much.

The problem in my excel that don't show result finally fix. I resume the solution: Open excel options/advanced/display options for this worksheet/ then unchecked options: show formula in cell instead for their calculated results.
