How many digits can fit in a cell?

I'm trying to put an 18 digit number into a cell and the last 3 numbers are changed to "0". Is there a limit on how many digits can be in a cell, or is there some simple setting that is being overlooked. Ive tried formatting, text to columns all kinds of thing, but no luck.

Just type "specifications" in the help and see what all limitations are there.
