How to Auto clear contents from a cell everyday for a certain column and make those new inputted values accumulate on another column

Hello, Please help, i have an excel spreadsheets that i use to report numbers every day, i want it to auto refresh a certain column where i put new values everyday.
secondly, i want the new values that i input everyday in column I to accumulate the total in Column G, so as to track the progress that ive done so far.
Please help...am new to VBA/Macros

So you want to enter values in column I
And then when you click a button all the values in column I are copied to column G adding these new values to column G values. And column I is then cleared.
Is this correct. And I assume you mean column I or do you mean column 1
