How to check if a cell has multiple lines inside

As all you know we can insert multiple lines to one cell while pressing CTRL + Enter combinations.
So how can I check with a macro whether activecell has multiple lines inside ?

If InStr(1, Range("A1"), Chr(10), 1) > 0 Then MsgBox "Range A1 contains multiple lines"

if you want to get content of the first line of the cell then you can use below code:

dim firstline as string
firstline = Mid(Range("A1"), 1, InStr(1, Range("A1"), Chr(10), 1))

msgbox split(range("A1"),vblf)(0)

PS. you can omit the default arguments of 'instr'

if instr(range("A1"),vblf) then msgbox "Multiline cell"
