Hello,
in cell A1 I have an email address (name@domainname.com)
in cell H1 I want to extract the domain name from A1, e.g. domainname.com

I have 4000 email addresses that I would like to extract domain names for each.

I tried =Right(A1,@) but because the domain name is right of the "@" I get an error, invalid, I don't know how to get around the invalid character?

Any suggestions? Thanks, Tom

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Hi & welcome to MrExcel
How about
=REPLACE(A1,1,FIND("@",A1),"")
