How to count (countifs) based on MORE THAN one in a single criteria excel

The below formula is in cell O4. Its a pivot table that the main slicer is connected too. The one slicer is connected to all of the Charts and tables. I was asked to place a birds eye count view on the dashboard. If you only select a single AOR it does what its supposed to do. Well...now they want it to also total when selecting more than one AOR at a time. If there's another way that's easier I'm open to suggestions.

=COUNTIFS(Mondays_Report[PLN Complete],"no",Mondays_Report[AOR],M4,Mondays_Report[PLN-BD SchFin],"<"&TODAY())+COUNTIFS(Mondays_Report[PLN ActFin],"<>"&"",Mondays_Report[AOR],M4,Mondays_Report[PLN-BD SchFin],"<"&TODAY())

I found a work around, I just copied the formulas down.... But, I still would like to know if there is a way to just use one formula.
