I have created a large spreadsheet which breaks out a monthly forecast and within this forecast there are dollar values relating to each of the items on this forecast. In the same row as these dollar values i have assigned a date to each item. I would like to produce a table as seen below which counts all of the dollar values associated with each date. The thinking behind this is so it shows me a table which summarises all the dollars associated with each date.

The daily target would be the forecasted count and the 'total so far' would be the actual count in terms of the dollars made on that date.

Thanks

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
It's really hard to tell from your description how your data is arranged. Does each cell in each row of data consist of dollar amounts, except for one cell that contains a date? Are the items associated with the dollar amounts named in a header row?

Maybe you could post a representative sample of your data.

If the answer to @meddem's questions are yes then SUMIF will work for you. eg =SUMIF(A4:A20,"=" & A24,B4:B20) will sum all $ from range B4:B20 where the date in A24 matches the date in range A4:A20.
