Hi all,

I need help by finding an easy way to evaluate the break even point.
For example I have the following information:

machine fixed costs costs per 1000
machine 1 $5.500 $18,00
machine 2 $4.500 $20,00
machine 3 $4.000 $24,00
machine 4 $2.000 $35,00

I can evaluate the BEP's but is there an easier way to compare the machines one by one?

Thanks

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Hi, welcome to the board!

Note that I'm using US decimal and thousands separators.

Not sure I understand, is this what you are after?

Excel Workbook
ABCD
1MachineFixed CostCosts per 1000
2machine1$5,500.00$ 18.00306
3machine2$4,500.00$ 20.00225
4machine3$4,000.00$ 24.00167
5machine4$2,000.00$ 35.0058

Hi, thanks for the speedy reply - but I'm sorry that does not solve my problem.
E.g. if I want to evaluate the BEP between Machine 1 and Machine 2 it would be 500.000 copies (my example is based on the printing industry and we measure the costs per 1.000 in copies).
I've already done something with tables and lookups but I'm not happy with it.
