hello all!

i have one cell that shows the date when something was sent out (let's call it A1), and one cell that shows the date it was received back (let's call it B1). i need a formula that shows how many BUSINESS days went by, not counting holidays and weekends.

can someone show me a formula that'll show this?

thanks!!!!!!!!!

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Check out the NETWORKDAYS function in Excel help.

Please note this part from Help, too:
If this function is not available, run the Setup program to install the Analysis ToolPak. After you install the Analysis ToolPak, you must enable it by using the Add-Ins command on the Tools menu.

You have to set your own holiday list. It doesn't assume any for you.
