How to get MAX number from a dynamic list

Dear Excel Masters,
Data is from column A2 to O2 (green fill), on the other side is the calculations, T2 and U2 is a drop-down list menu which has months value from Jan to Dec which return the value from the data on the right side, how to get the MAX number for the selected months (in my example I selected May and July from the drop-down list so how to get the MAX of May, June, and July. This should be a dynamic change means the MAX change if the month change in the drop-down list.

As long as all of the months are text, this will work. If they are proper dates formatted as months then it may fail.

=MAX(INDEX(D2:O2,MATCH($T$1,$D$1:$O$1,0)):INDEX(D2:O2,MATCH($U$1,$D$1:$O$1,0)))
