I'm in the process of making a register book on excel with a total to keep up on the changes so it can stay current on a different sheet what type of function do I need to use with this

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
have a look at as =SUBTOTAL, and place it on a top row so its always visible

Tryed that and did not work basically it's a range of cells example e3:e50 and i need one cell to show the current value like I'm at e8 and the value changes at e9 and shows what the value in e9 is does that make sence
