Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
Format>Cells>Protection, check or uncheck "Locked" as desired.

All the cells are "Locked" by default so that when the worksheet is protected, they cannot be edited. Select the cells you want to leave unlocked and then uncheck the "Locked" option.
