How can I write a formula that says to match the cell A2 (it has text in it) in the range OFFT2016, with the same text in row A2:A1000 of STOLENBASE, and return the number in column H of STOLENBASE?

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).

Perhaps this will get you started, I am assuming that your lookup data in on another sheet?

=vlookup(A2,STOLENBASE!$A$2:$H$1000,8,0)
