How to pick up a percentage in a formula?

Hello. I'm having some trouble with this formula. Can someone please help?

example:

cell B5 says -6%

formula
="aged debtors decreased by "&B5

ideally i would like the result to be "aged debtors decreased by -6%" but is coming up with "aged debtors decreased by -0.56988713816163"

any help is appreciated.

Maybe something like this?
="blah blah "&TEXT(B5,"0%")
Note that -0.56988713816163 is not 6%, it is 56%

I tried your formula and it came back with 0. not -6%
