I want to set a variable when i open my Excel file. How can I do it

When my File open..... Public Variable StartStopMC = "Stop"

In your workbook module

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
    StartStopMC = "Stop"
End Sub

In your normal module. Declare your variables

Public StartStopMC As String
