Hyperlink not working if sheet protected

Can anyone assist me?
I have a excel worksheet with hyperlink. If the sheet is protected I am unable to use the hyperlink even though I have unblocked the protected cells.

Yes the cells were locked, however even after unlocking the cells and then protecting the worksheet it does not work

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Did you unlock the cell containing the hyperlink?
