I can no longer see the text on a document I'm editing!

It's like it's hidden behind white blocks. A1 right through to D5 below all have text in them, but I can only see it in the top edit bar, not the cells themselves. Any ideas?

Get help while writing formula
Click the italics "fx" icon to the left of the formula bar to open the Functions Arguments dialog. Help is displayed for each argument.
Try Clear Formats and see if all of the data is there. Looks to me like Formatting issue.

Also try pressing
F5 -> Special... -> Objects -> OK
and see if anything gets selected or you get a message "No objects found"
