not really.. im probably missing one small thing, but id figure i might save myself a half hour if i asked here..

i have an input in cell g22 and an input in cell g23. g22 is for a number if the pipe is 2" in diameter while g23 is if the pipe is 3" in diameter. the cells never will both contain numbers, just one or the other depending on the sites layout.

=IF(G22<>0,800/G22,IF(G23<>0,800/(G23*0.5)))

is what i have so far and the math works, but displays a false if there is nothing in cell g23 or g22. i would LOVE to have this cell (g24) display nothing if cells g22 and g23 are blank.

hopefully i didnt confuse anyone!

thanx in advance too. everyone on this board is such a help.

=IF(IF(G22<>0;800/G22;IF(G23<>0;800/(G23*0.5)))=FALSE;"";IF(G22<>0;800/G22;IF(G23<>0;800/(G23*0.5))))

Note: replace the ; with , as my pc is in european setting.

Code:
=IF(MAX(G22,G23)=0,0,800/(G22+G23*0.5))
