Does anyone know how to make a msgbox show a message if an Excel auto shape (such as a line) gets selected. (I named my AutoShape, "MyLine").

The code needs to run if the object is selected by either right or left clicking it.

Thanks for the help.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Hello, SamMaynard,

You can attach a macro to you autoshape, but it will not be possible to catch a rightclick.

You could create your shape with an "Image" created with the "Control Toolbox". Then you can connect every right-and-left-click-code to the shape you want.

does this give you a start?

kind regards,
Erik
