If cell contains specific text multiply two cells, if not, multiply the two cells as negative

Hello friends,

I'm trying to multiply two cells, with either a positive or negative result, based on specific text in another cell. Here's is what I have tried. It works if there is a match in E76, but it does not work if there is not a match:

=IF((E76="buy",D76*A76,-(D76*A76)))

Any help would be appreciated

=IF(E76="buy",D76*A76,-D76*A76)
