Dear Excel Gurus,

I am in a dilemma and can use some assistance.

I have a drop down "Yes/No" box in Cell D33.

If someone chooses "Yes" then I want to allow them to enter information in cell block B35 - B45, otherwise they will get an error if they try to enter information into those cells.

Is there a quick way to resolve this?

I appreciate your assistance.

With best regards,
Rick

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
You can do this through Data Validation on the Data tab.

Select 'Custom' and enter this as the formula:

=D33="Yes"

Make sure to uncheck the 'Ignore Blank' box so that the user must select from the drop down.
