Hi I am using XL2003.

I have typed an if formula to flag up any cells that have 45 characters or more using
=IF(LEN(D:D)>45,"LONG","")

This is probably an obvious one but I can not work out how to do this for column d and column e. I assumed that if I put (D:D)OR(E:E) tha it might work but it doesn't. Please help as I am going crazy trying to work this out.

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Welcome to the board...

That would be like this maybe...

=IF(OR(LEN(D:D)>45,LEN(E:E)>45),"LONG","")

Hope that helps...
