IF Function Problem

I have created a formula for my boss in Excel 2007 using the IF function. It says if (cell #) is > 30 but < 100 then (cell #) -30 * .5, if not, then zero. It seems to be working, but I can't get it to return 0, it returns the word FALSE. What am I doing wrong?

Why don't you post the actual formula

=if(s10>30,if(s10<100,(s10-30)*.50),0)

LOGICAL test, value if true, value if false

put "0" like this

Use AND to easily put two conditions together... OR is useful too


=IF(AND(S10>30,S10<100),(S10-30)*0.5,0)

Is that your entire objective?
Or Are you going to be adding more criteria?

30 - 100 Then .50
101 - 150 Then .45
151 - 200 Then .40
etc.??
