I have cells in A1, B1, C1 with values 10,20,30 respectively.

If Cell C1>B1>A1, I would like it to display the text YES, if not, NO.

My formula is =IF(AND(B1>A1,C1>B1),"YES","NO")

Is this the most efficient way to write the formula?

Is there a way to write it in 1 line, such as =IF(C1>B1>A1,"YES","NO"), but that doesnt seem to work?

Thanks.

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying

That is how I would write it.

No, you cannot do it that way in Excel. It wants each each comparison checked independently.

Solution
I would stick with
Excel Formula:
=IF(AND(B1>A1,C1>B1),"YES","NO")
