One of the fields is text based, look at using INT in front of the comparison field

Yep. Dax is complaining that ARFILE[BALANCE] is not a numeric data type. Also you are searching from and to the same column in the same table so....why are you even doing a LOOKUPVALUE? The search columns needs to be in ARFILE. Syntax for LOOKUPVALUE is : LOOKUPVALUE( result_columnName, search_columnName, search_value[, search_columnName, search_value]…)
