If Match formula

I am looking to have the function look for multiple terms inside of cell to return a "X" as a check if there is a match. The formula only works on the first part of the formula. So I tried working in AND. It then only gives an NA

=IF(AND(MATCH("*City of Grand Rapids*",R6,0),IF(MATCH("*City of Grandville*",R6,0),"X")))

There is 3 more pieces of criteria to add in the search, but I cannot seem to get the answer from the first two in the function.

I did and this formula seems to return X for everything and not whether there is a matching portion of the formula criteria.

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
OK just so we understand what you want...
will the cell contain BOTH text strings?
will the cell only contain ONE of the text strings?

If only 1, then change to...
P1=IF(ISERROR(OR(FIND("Grand Rapids",R1),FIND("Grandville",R1))),"","x")

Also, like I have already asked - post some representative sample data and show what you expect (that way we can stop guessing lol)

I hope this helps. I am trying to get a correlation in two different columns ROW permit and Special Permit to show when key words are in the that row. The X's currently are not correct due to the formula not working properly. Thanks for all of the help so far.

Please do not post (non-working) formula results. Just some inputs rows and the associated desired results.
