IF OR question

=IF(OR(B10<>"",(D9+B10-C10),C10<>"",(D9+B10-C10)))

I am trying to say that if either B10 or C10 has data, then do the formula (D9+B10-C10) and enter text into the cell.

Otherwise I would like the cell with the formula to stay blank.

Any help would be appreciated.
