"If" question

This is probably ridiculously easy, but I am stumped. I have two columns (say, G and H) in which I keep track of my and my opponent's racquetball scores.

I use the following formula to generate a W (for a win) or L (for a loss):

=IF(G17>H17,"W","L")

What I would like to do is add an additional condition to display a blank if no data has been entered in that cell. Thus, if our scores on a given day were 15 and 10, it would generate a W, but if I hadn't filled in the score yet, neither W nor L would appear.

Help?

Try:

=IF(and(G17="",H17=""),"",if(G17>H17,"W","L") )

Hope this helps :)
