Hi
i want to use an "if" formula where based on..if can find the letter "a" in the cell A1 (no matter where is), then do this..

Example (for a range of cells)
A1: ABCD B1: returns yes
A2: AAAA B2: returns yes
A3: BARD B3: returns yes
A4: XYZ1 B4: returns no
A5: 1234 B5: returns no
A6: CDEF A B6: returns yes

etc

Andy, you can use this (which is not case sensitive):

=IF(ISERROR(SEARCH("a",A1)),"No","Yes")
