Hi All,

Do you know a formula that can return the word "include" if the cell in column A does not start with a number ?

Here is an example and result
A1 345C5T64 B1
A2 C8744343 B2 include
A3 B3 include
A4 Non CI B4 include
A5 AFCS3 B5 include
A6 74 B6

Thanks in advance.

Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
Please try the following formula on Cell B1 and Copy down as needed:
Excel Formula:
=IF(ISNUMBER(IFERROR(VALUE(LEFT(A1,1)),""))=FALSE,"Include","")

Another option. (you didn't say what to return if the cell does start with a number)
Excel Formula:
=IF(ISERROR(LEFT(A2)+0),"Include","?")
