I have spreadsheet with two tabs and need to bring 2 tab info into the first one if they meet the category.

Tab 1

has cars cell with for example

honda
toyota
ford
chev
etc

Tab 2

has cars and the buyer

honda - jim
ford - tom
honda - bill
chev - paula
chev - rick
ford - vick

so any time honda has name with it the first tab should fill in Honda - with names for example it should fill Jim bill

So what formula should use? Any help will be appreciated.

Excel Facts

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Just to clarify, in the second tab, for example, Honda would be in column A, and Jim would be in column B.

If I understand what you're looking for, a pivot table would probably be your best bet

So this in tab 2:

BrandCustomer
HondaJim
FordTom
HondaBill
ChevyPuala
ChevyRick
FordVick

<tbody>
</tbody>

Would turn into this in tab 1:
BrandCustomer
ChevyPuala
Rick
FordTom
Vick
HondaBill
Jim

<colgroup><col><col></colgroup><tbody>
</tbody>

Would this work for you?
