Can anyone help me out with graphs??
My selection of data has some cells which are blank. Can I ignore those blank cells when plotting a graph using the selection??
Thanks in Advance.

You're right. It doesn't work for columns. Thanks.

What would you do for column chart with empty blanks?

m t w r f
cat 7 5 4
dog 3 2
mouse 8 6 4 1
horse 3 5

I used the autofilter and ended up with a lot of information disappearing!

Again, this is no emergency, just curiosity.

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
The AutoFilter solution only works when a complete category is blank eg all of Dog. It will not work when there are blanks scattered around the various chart series. As you say some of your data will be missing because Excel only plots the visible cells.

Yeah my chart was a line graph, Andrew. You seem to be right the option of using "Interpolated" doesn't seem to work with bar graphs.

Just hoping someone can come up with a tweak for this or Mr. Gates can work on in this in the new release.
