Is it possible to import a text file into an Access db and have it bring in the file name as a field in each record?

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
It would be possible but I think you would need some VBA code.

That would first import the file to wherever, then run a update query to add the filename to a field in the newly created records.

The exact code to do this sort of thing would depend on what you're actually doing.
