Importing text data

I have about 100 text files, each containing a single column of data. What I want to do is import all of these text files into a single worksheet with the data from each text file in its own column.

It seems like there should be an easy way to do this but all I can find are scripts that put all my data into the first column.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Hi Nameless337,
what you could do: record a macro importing one file, then write a loop that does:
-import file on new sheet (indeed in column 1)
-copy that data to your "resultsheet" to the right column (first file in column 1, second file to column 2, etc)

That should do the trick, if you get stuck with the macros, please post your code here so I/others can comment on it.

Cheers,

Koen
