I am trying to import an excel file into Access- which I have successfully done before, but now it displays an error message saying "The wizard is unable to access info in the file. Please check that the file exists and that it is in the corect format". Does anybody know why it is saying this? and more importantly how to overcome it? Thanks

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
How are you trying to import the file? Manually, or with code?

Does the file use an XLS extension?

Can you open this file in Excel? Is it password protected, contain macros, or is read-only or anything of that nature?
