I have random text fields, but always in similar formats:

Gi2/0/1
Gi33/2/55
Gi17/17/4

What I need to be able to do is (with a formula, not a macro) increment the last digit(s) up to a maximum of 99

So the next cell after Gi2/0/1 would be Gi2/0/2 Gi2/0/3 up to .../99, and the same for the other numbers.

Thanks for all your help!

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Hi,

You can do this without formulas.

Assuming Gi2/0/1 is in A1, if you want to increment the last digit ( 1 ) across columns, drag the cell handle, little square at lower right corner of A1, across.
If you want to increment down column, drag the cell handle down.
