I'd like to to do an index formula where I match a lookup value and in an adjacent column, I return the value 1 row up or 1 row down from the match in that adjacent column.

Anyone know how to put that into a formula?

Thanks in advance!

Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
You would adjust your formula like this:
Rich (BB code):
=INDEX(...,MATCH(...)-1)
-1 goes up one row
+1 would go down one row

Awesome! Thanks! Can it be modified to match 2 different lookup values in 2 different columns? And then return a value from a 3rd column 1 row up or 1 row down?
