Indirect Function

Hello Folks,

Visited many times, first post. This is my formula...=INDEX(INDIRECT("'"&E7&"'!D2:D2"),0) works great. However, SpreadSheetConverter does not allow the indirect function. I need to publish to a website.

How can I complicate this formula without using indirect. E7 will be a Sheet name populated from a dropdown list.

Thanks,

Marcus

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
The only other way - other than VBA - for this would be to use the Morefunc add-in, but that is essentially the same thing. You need INDIRECT to translate a cell's contents into something excel can use as a reference in a formula
