I'm close but I can't figure this last bit out.

=INDEX(INDIRECT(B4&"!G:G"),MATCH(C4,INDIRECT(B4&"!C:C"),0))

Column B is the tab name of the tab I am trying to reference with the formula. If I evaluate formula the indirect combines the tab name in column B with !G:G but they seem to be surrounded by " instead of ' whci looks like what's causing #REF. The Index match works, I just can't get the INDIRECT to let me alter the reference tab correctly.

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Are there spaces in the name of the tabs? If so try this:
=INDEX(INDIRECT("'" & B4 & "'!G:G"),MATCH(C4,INDIRECT("'" & B4 & "'!C:C"),0))
