I saw someone do this before but I have not had the practice.
My wife is creating a order form and would like for the information to auto insert after typing in an item #.

For example:

If in the first column (Item#) she types in item # 3000
She would like the price column in that row to automatically enter the price for the item.
Then the column for the description of the item would automatically enter the product description.

Any help woul dbe appreciated

Half way there....I am able to get the pricing in. Does it work for Text as well? I use the same forumla and choose the column to look in but it will not insert the text.

Yes it works with text as well as numbers.

I had to format the cells with the text to text instead of general. And it worked. Thank you so much.
