I'm trying to create a pivot table of 5 million rows, but Excel says it's out of memory.

The Excel file is 400 MB. I'm sitting at a quad core laptop with 8 GB RAM so I would think that it should be able to create the pivot table.

Is there any way to increase the maximum memory in Excel? Or is there any other clever way around this?

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Five million rows? Excel only has one million.
