I need help on inserting a row into a table without altering the formula
Example
cell A1 shows the sum of H8 to H100
I would like to insert a new row at row 8 without affecting the formula in A1

thanks in advance

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
In A1

VBA Code:
=SUM(INDEX(H:H,8):INDEX(H:H,100))

Will always sum H8:H100 no matter what is inserted (or deleted)
