Inserting multiple line text into single cell

I have a file that contains text like:
line1
line2
line3
line4
I open the text file in Notepad and copy the 4 lines of text, then paste it into cell a1, the lines of text go into a1-a4. I want all the lines to go into cell a1. I can alter the original text if needed (I really use UltraEdit instead of notepad). I can change the cr/lf pairs to anything if that will help.

Try pasting the text into the formula bar.
