Please keep your response in simple understandable English. I have checked all over the web for this answer and I keep finding sophisticated VBA and macro answers that I do not understand.

So, here is my problem. Up until recently in Windows XP (yes, I know need to update) using Excel 2007 I have always been able to insert pictures into excel from anywhere on my computer.

But now all of a sudden anytime I attempt to navigate to anywhere besides the default "My Pictures" folder. Excel shows an error and shuts down my spreadsheet. I have not changed anything (that I know of) and have tried all kinds of fixes to make my insert picture work without any luck..

Please help I use this feature daily and I can not find a work around.

Thanks!
