I have installed Office Home and Student 2010

It seems to be the 64 bit version. (not sure how to confirm this, apart from 32 bit add-ins are not installing.)

Can i re-install my disk as a 32 bit?

Will the files i have created on 64 bit work on 32 bit?

Thanks

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
I believe you have to completely uninstall the 64-bit Excel to install the 32-bit version. Both versions should be available on the same installation disk, and I believe the default is to install the 32-bit version even if you're running a 64-bit operating system. Microsoft advises against using the 64-bit version, mostly to prevent the incompatibility you've encountered, unless you really really need all those bits to handle huge file sizes. Files don't keep track of which version they were created using, so the files you made using 64-bit will be usable in the 32-bit installation.
