Helloo guys,

I'm new to this forum and have been looking in this forum for what I am about to ask you but I have not find it.

Please forgive me if someone has already posted and answer for this.

I am an accountant and I usualy use VB Macros in Excel to help me with my work. The August 2002 Challenge placed by MrExcel was an answer to my prays becuase it is going to make my life so much easier :)

Ioannis solution seems amazing but everytime I run the code (with the numbers provided in the challenge), the computer enters in loops and goes on for several hours until I have to shut the processe down.

I know I am screwing this up somewhere but I'm not sure how.

Is there or could someone give me a step by step rundown on how to create the Macro and the Module with that code and use it (there is code for a module but it seems to just sit there).

Thanks a lot guys. I really appeciate it.

Ricardo

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Welcome to MrExcel -- how many numbers are you asking it to scan for your solution?

Keep in mind that the amount of time it takes grows exponentially here...

I am trying the exact same numbers given in the challenge, just for test.

Also, I am no sure wich part does the Module code plays in this. There seems to be no connection. That function is never called in the main routine.

And what is the final result going to look like?, I'm not sure about that either.

Thanks,

Ricardo
