I use a bank tool which is an excel add in to pull bank balances on a daily basis. Its very monotonous to choose dates and click update on the excel add in for like 50 accounts. I was wondering if there is anyway to record my clicks on the excel add in and create a VBA macro? I tried macro recorder but there was no code that appeared when I would click on update on the excel add in. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Hi,
I’m afraid, it’s not possible to record step that you make in add-ins. In order to automate what you’re doing you’d need to get to the code and redevelope it so once you run it it will make all the required step at one run.

Sebastian

You’re welcome.
One more thing I’d like to mention is that it’s as the excel add-in is concerned it’s possible to get to the code and redevelope it (if it’s not secured with password), but if the add-in is a dll one then I’m afraid it would require developing macro that you need from a scratch.

Sebastian
